I was sitting in the teachers' lounge, quietly eating my lunch as another talked about her new diet.

Apparently, it is based on blood types. For example, O is the most common and therefore were the hunters and they can eat lots of meat on this diet.

I just smiled and nodded.

What I really wanted to say was that the diet was the most asinine thing that I have heard in a while. And I've been tutoring junior high boys lately. I've heard a lot of ass-backward things.
