Turtles?

I had to pick my nieces up from school and make sure they finished their homework as my sister had to work late.

After the youngest niece finished her homework, she just left her folder on the kitchen table.

I told her to put in her backpack so she would not forget it.

She responded by saying, "What am I? Some kind of turtle that everyone expects to do everything?"

Yeah...I didn't get it either.
