Signs of the Apocalypse

There are so many stupid people in the world. Here are a couple examplems:

1. From News of the Weird

"News of the Weird from time to time reports on the vile, anti-homosexuality crusades of the indefatigable Rev. Fred Phelps (Westboro Baptist Church, Topeka, Kan.) and his extended family. The latest: The clan plans to be in Pittsburgh on April 13 to picket several organizations that had been associated with the late Fred Rogers, whom the Phelpses believe led kids in "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" to feel that being gay was acceptable. Said one of Phelps' daughters (a Westboro attorney): "This country has forgotten God and effectively flipped Him off, and Fred Rogers is in part responsible."

These people are radicalized freaks and their protests are normally very disturbing. But now they are pissed off at Mr. Rogers. How can you be pissed off at Mr. Rogers...he was like the nicest human alive.

2) From the aba journal ereport:

A "woman is suing Antelope Valley High School and its cheerleading coach. She says the coach held a personal grudge against her daughter and kept her off the team. In another case that went to the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, an Ohio man argued that his daughter�s high school did not follow its selection rules when she lost a spot on the cheerleading team. The Cincinnati-based 6th Circuit sided with the school district in an unpublished opinion, finding that denial of a spot on the squad does not violate students� Title IX or equal protection rights. Brindisi v. Regano, No. 00-3140."

It's high school cheerleading people.

People suing over spots on a highschool cheerleading squad (at least they aren't killing people over it) and people pissed off at Mr. Rogers...I'm pretty sure those are signs of the apocalypse.
