Burn Out

I got called into the paralegal's office yesterday afternoon.

She asked me to shut the door.

She then told me that she thought I was taking on too much work and if I felt overwhelmed that I did not need to hesitate to talk to the lawyer I work for and ask him to back off a little.

She feared that I was going to burn out.

I told her that I was fine.

Then I went and did what I usually do. Mess around doing nothing constructive for a few hours and then do a couple of hours of actual work.

I really wonder what kind of slacker-loser these people have hired in the past.
