The Rock

There is a rock in the apartment.

Neither the roommate nor I are sure as to how the rock ended up in the apartment.

It�s not a huge rock. But it�s not a tiny rock either. It is way too big to have gotten stuck in someone�s boot and traveled into the apartment via that method. Yet, neither of use chose to pick up the rock and carry it into the apartment.

It just appeared one day. We haven�t thrown it out. It has traveled from the dining room and into the kitchen. Now, it rests in the hallway.

Being that neither of us brought the rock in and it the rock is too big to have been unwittingly transferred from the outside world to our apartment�it�s kind of creepy�it seems that the rock just magically appeared.

Maybe it was the bitter, psychic energy. That bitter, psychic energy will get you every time.
